United Airlines will introduce the first nonstop service between the United States and Ibiza from May 31st, 2027, operating four flights per week from Newark Liberty International Airport.
The route will make United the only US carrier offering direct flights to the island, removing the need for connections through cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, or London. Exact journey times and fares have not yet been confirmed.
United plans to operate the service with an Airbus A321XLR. The aircraft will offer a limited number of lie-flat seats alongside Premium Economy, Economy Plus, and Economy tickets, with 4K OLED screens and Bluetooth connectivity available throughout the cabin. Eligible MileagePlus travellers will also have access to Starlink WiFi.
The Ibiza connection forms part of United’s wider international expansion for 2027, which also includes new Newark routes to Marseille, Terceira, Ljubljana, Olbia, and Catania.
