The launch will be made in December.
Detroit DJ and producer Omar-S revealed that he will be releasing an 8-bit video game starring him. In the interactive application, which is called ‘Record Packer’, the protagonist must pack and ship vinyl as fast as possible.
The game is part of a project published between Omar-S and Red Bull Arts and features the grocery store that his family has run since the 1950s. It also contains a soundtrack produced by the North American artist that will be released on 7″ limited edition vinyl.
As stated in the press release, Record Packer is ‘an experience many musicians and label owners can relate to today’. The video game will be available on both mobile phones and desktop computer browsers.
