Kasper Koman and Matthias Meyer reinterpret Guy Mantzur & Khen’s ‘Where Is Home’

It is now available on all digital platforms.

John Digweed‘s Bedrock Records label is back with a new remix pack. On this occasion, Utrecht producer Kasper Koman and Hamburg’s Matthias Meyer reworked the 2019 EP by Guy Mantzur and Khen.

‘My Golden Cage’ and ‘Where Is Home’ are the tracks included in this material. In Koman’s first reinterpretation of ‘My Golden Cage’, called ‘4AM Remix’, the artist adapts the track to the style of the nightclub that gives it its name. Thus, the cut is full of increasing tensions and several bass drops, ‘almost as if it were an invigorating sound roller coaster’, they indicate in the press release.

On the other hand, although the original version of ‘Where Is Home’ by Guy Mantzur & Khen is characterized by having a Balearic rhythm and an atmospherical funky tone, Matthias Meyer offers a stylistically different vision. As stated in the press release, ‘the new tune maintains much of the same joy, but also serves as a much more serious version of the single. Throughout its nearly seven and a half minute runtime, it transforms its source material into a thoughtful piece, urging the listener to sit down with the simple, yet profound message of where home really is.’

This remix pack is now available on Bedrock Records. You can listen to it or buy it on any of your favorite platforms here.
