From the sand in Nevada to the beaches of Dubai, Audiofly is in a class of its own. This duo, formed by the legendary producers Anthony Middleton and Luca Saporito, and with 13 years behind them as a creative partnership, it seems they are always cooking the next frontier of an all-involving, melancholic, and extremely balanced sound. Whether it’s traveling the world, their DJ Performances, running successful labels: Supernature, Maison D’Etre, and the worldwide acclaimed Flying Circus brand, or simply their exploration of freedom and love, Audiofly is a mature and established duo, driven and unmatched.
Audiofly’s Flying Circus makes a highly anticipated return to the city of London as the globetrotting brand gears up to take over Loft Studios’ two floors next Saturday, November the 13th. Grab your tickets here.
Ahead of their London return, we catch up with the masterminds themselves, Audiofly, to learn more about the production and process behind their globe-trotting circus.
Electronic Groove: Hi Anthony! Luca! Welcome! We’re honored to have you here with us for a chat. How have you been doing? Where are you guys at the moment?
Audiofly: Thanks for the invite. We are both in different places at the moment (again). Anthony is in Mexico, organizing his upcoming wedding, whereas I am back in Ibiza, relaxing a bit before our next shows. We’ll both meet again back in London for our beloved Flying Circus. We are both in good spirit again after having had some difficult times in our personal lives for quite some time, but we feel in good shape again, thankfully.
Electronic Groove: Exciting news about Flying Circus taking over Loft Studios! How excited are you guys for this one?
Audiofly: It’s incredible how long it’s been since our last show in London, so you can only imagine how excited we are. It took months to put this specific line-up together, painstakingly trying to fit every DJ with one another, but once the process is over and you see the results, it always puts a huge smile on our faces. Also, it must be mentioned that we are working with a great team on this one. Luca Guerri of Nowhere Events is extremely professional and has been helping us every step of the way to create an event that, hopefully, will leave a mark on everyone who will attend. The hype is huge so it should be quite the party.
Electronic Groove: What can you tell us about this one? What can we expect, scenery-wise?
Audiofly: The venue is completely raw, so it has been quite challenging to come up with a style of deco that is both impactful and true to the spirit of Flying Circus. We have a team working around the clock on production, making sure the venue will look incredible. I’ll fly to London two days before the event to check on both production and sound, but we absolutely trust our partners at Nowhere Events to deliver something totally extraordinary. I can’t really reveal much, for obvious reasons so you’re just gonna have to be there to witness it 😉
Electronic Groove: Where does the inspiration for all these ‘dream worlds’ comes from?
Audiofly: It has much to do with the venue we use in each specific situation and draw inspiration from the space itself. A beach in Mexico would obviously need much less work in terms of production than a loft in West London, as the environment itself provides a natural canvas, from which we then expand on. But the challenges we face with a room black room, such as the Loft, also allow us to completely re-imagine a new environment which ultimately can prove very rewarding.
Electronic Groove: And sonic-wise? What can we expect from this superb line-up?
Audiofly: This is truly the cherry on the cake on any Flying Circus since the very beginning of its creation. If you look back at our old line-ups, they were always ahead of their time and this one is no different. Take Yulia Niko for example. She is been floating just slightly below the surface, pushing a sound that is very much her own and now she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves. Or Maga, who we have been supporting since the very beginning of his career and today is taking the scene by storm, with cutting-edge productions and memorable DJ sets. Or Sasson, an artist who only last year was totally unknown and achieved a meteoric rise during a time when most countries had strict limitations, based purely on his talent and passion for his music. The thing with Flying Circus is that we pay extreme attention to the way each DJ flows from one to another. We try to create a journey from beginning to end and we take major pride in how we do it.

Electronic Groove: How has Flying Circus evolved since its conception? How hard is it to keep scaling up while remaining true to core values?
Audiofly: Honestly it’s extremely hard. We are competing with events that have huge budgets for productions and music talent so it’s becoming extra challenging to deliver a product that it’s both true to his core values and yet consistently interesting. But, as I mentioned before, we pay special attention to the musical side of it, booking talents that don’t necessarily have a massive following but who certainly are breaking the mold in terms of productions and DJ set, thus creating a line-up that doesn’t rely too much on huge names, but talented individuals who are truly in this for the passion of creating forward-thinking music. We also work with very specific promoters, around the world who believe in the brand and its essence, allowing us to create memorable parties over and over and to slowly evolve the brand organically.
Electronic Groove: What’s next for Audiofly and Flying Circus? What new milestones are you looking forwards to in the coming months?
Audiofly: Well, it’s funny that you ask this as next year Anthony and I will be celebrating 20 years of Audiofly, which is a huge milestone in itself, considering how short-term everything around us is becoming. It’s totally mind-bending to think how many places, situations, parties, shifts of trends the two of us have experienced together, and yet, here we are. We are in the process of preparing something very special for the coming year but so far everything is tightly under wraps.
Electronic Groove: Thank you for your time guys! We wish you all the best for the future!
