Azzecca’s 10 top tracks for a sweaty club night

Chicago-based DJ and producer Azzecca has been making waves in the underground dance music scene. Her love for house, techno, and the darker sides of dance and disco are evident in her unique DJ style, which takes crowds on unexpected journeys through genres and emotions. She has shared the stage with well-known names such as Jamie Jones, Carl Cox, Seth Troxler, DJ Tennis, and more.

Azzecca’s productions are genre-bending and have towering sound designs, perfect for massive club systems. She made her debut on Diplo’s Higher Ground last year with her tracks ‘Other Side’ and ‘I’ve Been Waiting’, which now have over 5 million streams. Since then, she has released several acclaimed REALM releases and a Maccabi House two-tracker. She will be releasing a new single called ‘U Fool’ on Higher Ground on September 21st.

On August 19th, Azzecca will be performing at Detroit Love alongside techno ambassador Carl Craig and fellow Detroit icons Moodymann and Omar S. The open-air event will take place at Brooklyn’s industrial warehouse space 99 Scott and is hosted by Teksupport.

Now, ahead of her performance at Detroit Love and the release of her upcoming new single ‘U Fool’ on September 21st, Azzecca has selected her top 10 tracks for a sweaty club night.

1. Happy Landing – James Bott

“This is the perfect trippy track to start the vibe or to play late into a long set when people are down to get a bit lost.”

2. Jam 3 – Donald’s House

“This is another great, trippy track. I love the progression of this one, definitely a slow-burning dancefloor weapon.”

3. Lovelee Dae – Blaze (Bicep Remix)

“I’ve recently started playing this older track in my sets and it has been going off. I love pretty much everything Bicep makes, but rarely get to play their music in my DJ sets so this is always a nice moment for me.”

4. Dance When The – Eden Burns

“I’m a massive fan of Eden Burns’ productions. They’re all quite simple but so unique and sick. I’ve been playing this one a lot lately and it always gets a sick reaction. “

5. Synchronicity – Subb-an

“This is another slow-burning track that’s perfect for the crowds that are down for some more experimental sounds. “

6. Heroes – Paride Saraceni

“This one is sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. It samples Yes ‘Owner of a Lonely Heart’ which is one of my favorite tracks of all time. It’s also just a sure-fire dancefloor track. “

7. Variance – Slam

“This is an older techno track that I absolutely love and will never get sick of. The rawness of it makes it so special. “

8. Give Chance a Trance – Theus Mago, Moderna

“This is one of the more quirky tracks I’ve heard in quite a while and I’m absolutely loving playing it out. “

9. Ascent – Azzecca

“This is probably my favorite track I’ve made thus far in my career and the reactions to it whenever I play it are so satisfying. “

10. Heat Rises – Jeff Sorkowitz

“This is just a fantastic dancefloor track. It’s minimal but funky and energetic. “
