BBC Radio 1 Dance promises 24 hours of electronic music

The transmission will take place on one of the station’s new Apps.

BBC Radio 1 has decided to bring together all the station’s dance music programs in a digital bundle that will go live on October 9th, starting at 6 pm.

This will become the first 24-hour continuous musical transmission, which will be carried out through its new BBC Sounds app with the name BBC Radio 1 Dance.

During the week, Monday through Thursday, Pete Tong’s Radio 1 program will air between 4 pm and 6 pm, featuring new mixes, drum & bass shows, past, present, and future songs. On Fridays, Radio 1’s Workout Anthems, Annie Mac’s Radio 1 Dance Party, Danny Howard, Pete Tong, and the Essential Mix can be heard. Then on Saturdays, listeners will be entertained by Danny Howard, as well as Diplo & Friends, Jaguar, and MistaJam. After the weekend, artist-curated playlists will air in four and two-hour slots throughout the day.
