Berlin gears up for the fifth annual Berlin Dance Music Event

This edition offers a varied program with discussions, workshops, masterclasses, networking, and 50 events in 20 clubs and 15 bars.

Berlin is preparing to host the highly anticipated Berlin Dance Music Event (BDME) 2024 from May 22nd to 26th. This event, a blend of festival and conference, is gearing up for its fifth iteration, promising a wealth of experiences.

Last year, BDME 2023 drew an impressive crowd of 24,600 music enthusiasts and professionals on-site, with an extra 7,700 participating online from 27 different countries. With 104 speakers and 200 artists, Berlin became a hub for electronic dance music enthusiasts worldwide.

The upcoming BDME 2024 has already revealed 75% of its diverse program. Participants can expect an array of panel discussions, practical workshops, enlightening masterclasses, and valuable networking opportunities.

As evening falls, the focus will shift from industry dialogues to vibrant nightlife. BDME 2024 plans to illuminate the city with 50 events across 20 clubs and, for the first time, 15 selected bars.

Two highlight panels are ‘Women in the Industry’ and ‘Something Goes Viral’. The former will offer an enlightening discussion on women’s roles in dance music led by industry pioneers. The latter will explore the complexities of content virality in our digital age.

Aly Gillani is set to lead a workshop titled ‘How to Bandcamp’, where attendees can learn how to enhance their profiles and increase audience engagement.

Adding to the anticipation, BDME 2024 will host a trade fair at Playground Berlin. This will feature a variety of exhibitors, such as Dolby, Genelec, ACS Custom, and Rathert Kreativ, all ready to display their innovative products for music industry professionals.

A key attraction at the trade fair will be the Immersive Sound Showcase by Genelec & Dolby, a must-see for all attendees. This showcase will feature prominently in both panels and workshops.
