Budakid has announced his debut album ‘Dreams Stretched Beyond’, set for release on July 3rd, 2026, via his own label Flores, alongside the unveiling of its first single, ‘Endless’.
The Dutch, Berlin-based producer, DJ, singer, and multi-instrumentalist introduces the project as a defining step in his career, following years of developing his sound independently. Having grown up in a musical family with Indonesian roots, Budakid began as a drummer before moving into electronic production, later studying music theory at the conservatorium. Over time, he also incorporated his own vocals, recording and producing all of his material himself.
Despite performing over a thousand shows worldwide and releasing music connected to artists such as Sasha, Max Cooper, Solomun, and Guy J, the album arrives after a long period of reflection. The foundation for ‘Dreams Stretched Beyond’ was shaped during several years spent living in the Alps, where isolation allowed him to focus fully on writing new material.
The launch of Flores plays a central role in this chapter, giving Budakid full control over his output and allowing him to present his sound without compromise. The lead single ‘Endless’ reflects on the uncertainty of pursuing a life in music, capturing both doubt and perseverance.
“‘Endless’ is a reflection of what it is like being an artist,” says Budakid. “Almost blindfolded, we fall endlessly into wherever destiny may take us. Are we good enough? What does the future bring for us? There is an endless vagueness and insecurity that comes with this artist lifestyle. No certainty, only our own energy and motivation to move endlessly forward. It is like the act of breathing. The first lyrics express that train of thought. The second part is more about wishing for hope and security.”
Built around warm valve keyboard chords and layered synth textures, the track introduces the album’s sonic direction, with Budakid’s vocal lines adding a personal dimension to the production.
‘Dreams Stretched Beyond’ will be available on 2LP vinyl and digital formats, with distribution handled by Atomnation and !K7.
