Christian Löffler premieres video of ‘The End (ft. Josephine Philip)’

This track follows the release of ‘Versailles (Hold)’, the first single of his forthcoming album.

Christian Löffler is preparing the launch of his fifth studio LP entitled ‘Lys’, to be out March 20th via Ki Records.  Ahead of the special date, he has presented the video of ‘The End (featuring Josephine Philip)’.

“The End was written with my friend Josephine Philip from Copenhagen. It’s about our fate realizing that everything comes to an end at some point and nothing lasts forever. The song is a reminder to focus on the people and things in life that we really love and care about”, the German artist commented.

‘Lys’ is a selection of Löffler’s favorite productions from the past three years, compiled into one deeply moving listening experience. The album’s sounds can be traced back to 2016, but they really began to take shape in the wake of a creative breakthrough in 2018. His last album ‘Graal’ reflected this intense initial energy, as ideas rushed in and took the form of sketches; in contrast, his new musical material is clearer; it’s a fleshing-out and coloring in of those initial ideas, the transforming of sketches into paintings, and rough melodies into tracks. Integral in the process was Löffler’s painting of these earlier drawings, cementing a connection between his visual and musical work, and bridging the two albums.

Christian Löffler will be performing at New York’s Cityfox LIVE event on February 29th. He will be playing alongside Paul Kalkbrenner, Schwarzmann, Agents of Time, Tim Engelhardt, among others. Grab your tickets here.
