Dee Montero returns to Renaissance with the ‘Odisea’ EP

Featuring two remixes by Man Power and collaborations with NuKreative.

Dee Montero is making his long-awaited return to Renaissance, having been a regular on the label throughout the ‘90s. His anticipated ‘Odisea’ EP features three new original tracks, two of them collaborations with NuKreative, plus two distinct remixes by Man Power.

Dee Montero describes the title track ‘Odisea’ as his ‘secret ingredient in sets for those after-hours and sunrise moments’. Meanwhile, ‘Athena’ was born whilst Dee Montero was touring in Melbourne early last year and met with Danny Bonnici and James Re, best known as NuKreative. The trio kept in contact during lockdown and worked together remotely on what would become ’Athena’. The EP closes with two remixes of ‘Odisea’ from Man Power who, ever the creative, takes the track into downtempo territory with his ‘Orbit’ mix, before slamming it firmly into peak-time, with the electronica-tinged, breakbeat-esque ‘Re-entry’ version.

Early support for the ‘Odisea’ EP comes from Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Tenaglia, Renato Cohen, Claude Von Stroke, Just Her, Marsh, Soul Button, Rob Hes, Eelke Kleijn, Raphael Mader, Philipp Straub, and Horse Meat Disco, amongst many others.
