Detroit Gallery Celebrates 20 Years Of Movement Festival With Photo Exhibition

Detroit gallery celebrates 20 years of Movement Festival with photo exhibition

Includes photographs taken at each edition of the Detroit festival.

Movement Detroit’s 20-year legacy is being celebrated in a new exhibition curated by Rita Sayegh and Tim Price. Titled ‘2000/2020: Celebrating 20 Years Of the Electronic Music Festival In Detroit’, the Robert and Mary Ann Bury Community Gallery is showcasing photographs from each year of the long-running festival.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s edition of Movement festival went virtual with ‘Movement At Home’. The annual event has already lined up names for their 2021 event, including Carl Craig and Richie Hawtin.

‘2000/2020’ also features fan photos from the last two decades, which will be displayed alongside contributors’ names.

You can find more information about the exhibition here.
