At the heart of Eelke’s artistic world lies DAYS like NIGHTS, his record label. This platform serves as a hub for creative expression, uniting various musical formats and live experiences to showcase innovative electronic music.
Fresh from releasing his latest album ‘Another Life,’ Eelke Kleijn shares ten tracks that have defined his recent journey. From peak-time weapons to emotional journeys, these selections offer a window into his mind.
1. Corren Cavini – Solutions
“When Corren sent me ‘Solutions,’ I think I played it exclusively for almost half a year. I also knew right away that I wanted to remix it and I did so right at the end of 2024. But the original to me is the best track of 2024, period!”
2. Eli & Fur – You’re So High (Sasha Remix)
“Massive remix by Sasha! Takes me back 20 years and I absolutely love it. I play it on lower tempo sometimes, but if I can I’ll drop it on the original 138. Massive!”
3. Rem Siman – Face The Music
“When Rem sent me this demo through our demo drop, I instantly knew it was a hit record. I’ve been playing it for more than a year now and people still come up to me asking for an ID. It’s such an incredibly powerful combination of groove, melody, and vocal. All the right noises in the right order!”
4. Fedele – Your Eyes
“I was instantly sold when I heard this for the first time. I love the energy, the vocal, the almost haunted chords. Huge huge huge!”
5. Sonickraft – Killswitch
“I love how this record combines a tough groove with great melodies and super positive vocals. It’s great for peak time, but it’s also great for taking things slightly deeper in a set. And the message in the track is great as well.”
6. Simon Doty & My Friend – Tuxedo Park
“I included this track because it reminds me of the peak times of progressive house. A strong, accentuated rhythm combined with a great melody and dark vocal. Big parts of my sets in 2024!”
7. Vomee – Bring It Back
“One of the strongest tracks coming from Siamese this year for me. It’s so simple, but it just works like a charm on the dance floor!”
8. Amirali – Deep Inside (Eelke Kleijn Deep Inside the 90s Remix)
“When I signed Amirali’s EP to DAYS like NIGHTS I knew I had to do something with Deep Inside, it has such a catchy vocal. I eventually turned it into this ode to the 90s.”
9. Deer Jade – Firmament
“I love the groove in this record! Those Rhodes are fantastic, and they hit all the right notes. I still get goosebumps from time to time while playing this.”
10. Budakid – Infinity
“This is one of my favourite tracks by Budakid of all time. I’m a big fan of his melodies. I think I had this track many months before it was finally released and it was one of my most requested IDs because I kept on playing it every single show.”
