Cosmicat is part of a new wave of artists out of Saudi Arabia. Her unique blend of genres has captivated music lovers worldwide, from an audience of 130,000 at Soundstorm to prominent international stages including Exit Festival, Tomorrowland, and Ultra Miami. Cosmicat has most recently embarked on her first stint over in Ibiza with shows at Ushuaïa and Club Chinois as part of Franky Wah’s residency whilst also gracing the decks at Fabric, marking her debut at the iconic London institution.
Born and raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Cosmicat began playing music at a time where access to records and production equipment was limited. Self-taught, she spent her days as a dental student and her nights playing underground parties. Working her way up from the local Saudi scene, Cosmicat has paved the way for other Saudi female musicians to follow in her lead and rise to the surface.
As a self-taught artist, Cosmicat had the freedom to experiment and create a fresh new approach to traditional electronic music before arriving at a sound that infuses unique melodies and effortlessly blends elements of melodic house and techno with Arabic vocals and drum patterns. Since 2018, she has exploded onto the music scene worldwide with a dedicated following and has gone on to share stages with some of the industry’s biggest names including Peggy Gou, Solomun, Ricardo Villalobos, and Nicole Moudaber.
Her journey as an artist was most recently featured in Hypebeast Diaries, earning over one million views. She has also been featured multiple times in Vogue Arabia, mostly recently earning her first cover and has also partnered with international brands such as Coach, Adidas, and Pepsi.
