Alex Cecil makes his EG Spotlight debut with a mix built entirely from his own productions, offering a direct look into the world he is shaping as a DJ, producer, and label founder. Moving between indie dance, house, and techno, his sound is driven by tension, feeling, and a strong sense of narrative, always aimed at the dancefloor without losing character.

With a background in classical training and a clear club minded identity, Cecil has developed a style that balances melody, pressure, and control with moments of surprise. That approach has taken him to respected spaces including Burning Man’s Distrikt, Floyd at Club Space, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, Amsterdam’s A’DAM Tower, and New York’s House of Yes. Along the way, he has shared lineups with artists such as DJ Tennis, Maceo Plex, Agoria, Rebolledo, and Oona Dahl.

Beyond the booth and studio, Cecil is also building his own platform. He is the founder of NiteLite Music and co founder of Superfine Records, two imprints that reflect his artist led vision and growing reach. Superfine has already introduced music from Marc DePulse, SNYL, Shubostar, Niconé, Musumeci, and more, while NiteLite continues to expand through a steady run of original releases and remixes.

Recent cuts like “Bump It” and “Chismosa” have helped strengthen that momentum, with “Right Path” set to follow. A wider release schedule is also on the way, featuring remixes from Biesmans, John Creamer, Nihil Young, Barry Jamieson, and others. With support growing across clubs, labels, and editorial outlets, Alex Cecil arrives on EG Spotlight with a set that feels personal, purposeful, and fully his own.
