JOHANNSON makes his debut on EG Spotlight with a sound shaped by time, intention, and a deep connection to the dancefloor. Based in Switzerland and led by Nenad Jovanovic, the project reflects more than twenty five years inside electronic music, bringing together long standing experience as a DJ with a studio vision centered on groove, melody, and feeling.

Inspired early on by synth driven pioneers such as Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Giorgio Moroder, and Jan Hammer, JOHANNSON approaches music with a strong sense of atmosphere and emotional contrast. His motto, “It’s all about mixed emotions,” offers a clear window into that mindset. There is movement in his work, but also reflection, with each production aiming to say something beyond function alone.

That balance also carries into this EG Spotlight mix. Without forcing the moment, JOHANNSON builds a journey that feels steady, warm, and thoughtfully paced, moving through his own productions alongside a selection of cuts that sit naturally within his world.
