EG TECHNO.157 MELTX

For her first appearance on the EG Techno series, MELTX steps in with a session built on pressure, emotion, and full body impact.
Born in Ireland and based out of Adare Manor in Limerick, MELTX has become one of the fast rising names in hard techno. Her project brings together music, visual identity, performance, and a sharp sense of drama, shaped by a background that reaches far beyond the booth.
Before techno became her main path, Melanie built a strong creative base through film and music. She taught herself production while developing an award winning career in film, trained in musical theatre singing through the London College of Music, and reached grade 8 with distinction at every level from the age of 11. She later studied film and French at Trinity College Dublin, with a year in Paris that helped shape her visual direction and artistic identity.
Her work in cinema also left a clear mark on the way she approaches music. Her short film Catharsis earned third place at Ireland’s Young Filmmaker of the Year awards, while Silent, a film centered on mental health, reached millions of viewers worldwide. That eye for image, story, and emotion now runs through her releases, mixes, live presence, and social media output.
MELTX first connected with techno during university, after attending her first rave and finding a sense of freedom in the music. Already composing for her films, she moved naturally into dance music production, then into DJing, following a path that quickly moved from local support slots to larger stages.
She has supported international names including Clara Cuvé, 999999999, Sara Landry, and Charlie Sparks, while appearing at key Irish venues such as Shine Belfast and Index Dublin. Since then, her schedule has grown across Hidden in Manchester, XXL x Warehouse Project, O2 Brixton in London, and multiple Teletech events across Europe and the UK. Her sets at Emerge Festival, Boxed Off, Life Festival, BD, and Fuinneamh have also helped mark her as one of Ireland’s strongest new techno exports.
On the production side, MELTX has released music through labels including HEKATE, Taapion, NowNow, and Teletech. She recently self released her first album, CANDYCORE, a collection of eight tracks rooted in hardcore and hard dance, with her own vocals running through much of the record. The result adds a personal, melodic, and often sweet edge to a tougher sound.
Now, MELTX brings that world into EG Techno with a mix that reflects her drive, her cinematic instinct, and her place in the new wave of hard techno.
