Three decades into a career that has placed him among techno’s most respected producers, Vince Watson arrives on EG TECHNO with a mix that carries the depth of his own musical history.

Since the mid 1990s, Watson has released more than 1,000 tracks across 18 albums and over 250 EPs, building a body of work that moves between Detroit techno, deep house, electro, and ambient music. His releases, under his own name and aliases Amorphic and Quart, have connected him with labels, artists, and dance floors across the world. From Berghain and Tresor in Berlin to Womb in Tokyo, Space Ibiza, and Amsterdam’s 909 Festival, his sound has remained rooted in emotional detail, machine rhythm, and serious club function.

For EG TECHNO, Watson draws on that same foundation. The mix opens with his own ‘Reach For The Sun’, then moves through DJ3000’s ‘Qilim’, Human Safari’s ‘Children Of The Sea’, and the Los Hermanos remix of DJ3000’s ‘So Sheik’. His own productions, including ‘The Awakening’ and ‘Gliding’, sit at the centre of the selection, linking the set directly to the sound he has refined throughout his career.

Tracks from Jules Wells, Manu Abeca, Sina XX, Chizawa Q, Unspent, and DAST complete the route. The result is patient, physical, and deeply connected to the Detroit tradition that has informed so much of Watson’s work, while leaving room for the darker, more atmospheric edge of present day techno.
