Empire of the Sun have unveiled a deluxe edition of their fourth studio album, ‘Ask That God.’ This expanded version, now available through EMI AUS/Capitol Records, introduces two previously unreleased tracks.
The digital deluxe edition features new additions ‘Dark Secrets’ and ‘Somebody’s Son,’ with the latter featuring a collaboration with Lindsey Buckingham.
The collaboration stems from mutual admiration between the artists, with Buckingham praising the band’s pop sensibilities. His guitar work adds a fresh layer to ‘Somebody’s Son.’
Lord Littlemore explains that these new additions naturally extend the album’s narrative, with ‘Dark Secrets’ delving into unexplored territory while ‘Somebody’s Son’ brings an intimate perspective to their musical journey.
The deluxe edition adds to a collection featuring hits ‘Cherry Blossom,’ ‘Changes,’ and ‘The Feeling You Get.’ After shows in Australia and Mexico, the band will tour the US, showcasing their dynamic live performances. More touring information and tickets are available here.
