To be released on Ultra Records.
Electronic crossover production duo Giolì and Assia have just shared details of their forthcoming studio album, ‘Fire, Hell and Holy Water’. The new record is scheduled for release this September 9th, 2022.
According to Giolì and Assia, the new album is the band’s biggest body of work to date, showcasing a staggering collection of 16 original cuts. Named after a well-known local Sicilian saying, the record “documents the girls’ turbulent and intense highs and lows as a couple, and the health problems and untimely losses of relatives during the pandemic”.
In line with the announcement of the upcoming LP, Giolì and Assia also shared the drop of their latest single, ‘I’ll Be Fine’. Following up on previous singles ‘Fire, Hell and Holy Water’ and ‘Silence’, this is an emotionally charged piece that perfectly embodies the personal dealings found on the album.
“We wrote ‘I’ll Be Fine’ as a mantra during lockdown, almost like a call to arms for survival when so much was going wrong around us. We started playing it on our tour last year, and already our fans sing it back to us. Whenever we play this track live it seems to connect so strongly with our fans,” say Giolì and Assia about their latest drop.
