Groove Armada share animated video for ‘Lover 4 Now’

The piece was directed and animated by Fons Schiedon.

After announcing their first album in 10 years, Groove Armada shared the video for their song ‘Lover 4 Now’, featuring the collaboration of Todd Edwards. The premiere is an ode to Ibiza’s sunsets and the fleeting romances of summer.

In the video, they show us an animated love story between two eccentric characters: Cosmo the cat, and Mio the dog, who live in homes without humans, so they find comfort and companionship through their video chat. The animation makes us travel between sepia urban landscapes hand in hand with these two main characters, who traverse the digital world of online dating and experience the thrill of meeting someone new. As the director of the piece explains, the animation could be ‘a good metaphor for the last few months’.

This Groove Armada track is also a small glimpse of their long-awaited album ‘Edge of the Horizon’, which will be available on October 2nd. For now, you can watch the ‘Lover 4 Now’ video and pre-order the album here.
