Leading DJs in the region have been asked by the broadcast giant HBO to remix Ramin Djawadi’s acclaimed opening for their ‘Game of Thrones’ series. Hernan Cattaneo, Heey Cat, Dennis, and Daniel Bautista were the selected DJs to contribute to the campaign.
The end result is four very different versions that showcase the diverse electronic musical landscape that characterizes the region. Brazilian Heey Cat delivers a fast-paced, samba-laced rework; fellow countryman Dennis goes for a big room aesthetic with a touch of funk; Mexico’s Daniel Bautista encapsulates the original elements inside a solid tech frame; and Argentine maestro Hernan Cattaneo showcases all his experience with a deep, progressive sound.
It is still unknown whether these versions are bound to see the light of day eventually, but small fragments can be appreciated in the video below.
