Houghton prepares its third edition

Over 50 artists have been confirmed.

After the event’s cancellation back in 2019 due to climatic causes, Houghton returns with renewed energies in 2020. So far, a plethora of forward-thinking and eclectic artists have been announced maintaining the artistic spirit of the meeting.

The musical program reflects the varied taste of Craig Richards, head of the festival. In addition, the tradition of encouraging long sets and unique live acts is still going strong. Some of the names include the return of heavyweights such as Ricardo Villalobos, Helena Hauff, Ben UFO, Optimo, Hunee, Seth Troxler, Jane Fitz, Pearson Sound, Andrew Weatherall, Joy Orbison, Powder, Midland, and Call Super.

It’s also worth mentioning the participation of Maarja Nuut, Object Blue, Matthew Halsall, Elliot Galvin Trio, Pole, Soundwalk Collective, John T. Gast, Mark Ernestus’ Ndagga Rhythm Force and the debuts of Four Tet, Bruce, DJ Stingray, and Lena Willikens, just to name a few.

Other artists that will perform will be Carl Finlow as Silicon Scally, D. Tiffany, Floating Points, Ruf Dug, and a series of showcases that include Palms Trax, Caliber, dBridge, Gerd Janson, Harvey Sutherland, Flanger, DMX Krew, Radioactive Man, Ricardo Romaneiro, and the return of Juju & Jordash, Move D with Magic Mountain High.
