Miami based producer, Jason Rault, joins the Unclosed label with his new EP ‘Trouble At The Top’. It features two originals that capture his sound perfectly, alongside remixes from Dudley Strangeways and Pronoia that further explore sonic possibilities.
Leaning on a bold groove, ‘Trouble At The Top’ showcases Jason’s ability to craft heady, narcotic tracks that evolve in a meticulous, unrushed manner, captivating listeners from the onset. The second cut, ‘Mind Control’, follows suit in an elegant fashion, as the producer veers towards classic house stabs and pads, breathing fresh air into the release.
On remix duties, Dudley Strangeways goes for a more minimal frame, while staying true to the darker overtones presented by ‘Trouble At The Top’. For his interpretation of ‘Mind Control’, Pronoia strips it down to bare essentials, and swaps stabs and pads for reversed swells that give it a lightweight feel.
