Keinemusik mainstay Reznik reunites with longtime collaborator Mikesh for ‘One And Only,’ a deeply expressive two-track release that showcases the duo’s evolving sonic chemistry.
The EP features an original version built around a classic song structure and a piano-led arrangement, with Mikesh’s vocals front and center. A club mix follows, translating the emotion into a driving dancefloor cut.
Speaking on the duality of the release, Reznik explains, “‘One and Only (Original)’ is a very emotive piece that we realised would rather go into song than track-territory… We failed miserably to incorporate Mikesh’s vocals [into the club mix], which is a real bummer… We had a bit of a Lil’ Louis ‘French Kiss’ moment when recording the bass line for the club mix.”
