After years of composing for other artists and making music for radio, film and television, producer Kennedy One has taken a new leap: sharing his music under his own signature. ‘Metropolis’ is the name of his first record release.
With this album, the artist offers a journey of introspection. Through emotional downtempo, deep techno and dark sounds, the composer shows the challenges of leaving the past behind in search of something different, a path that is usually traveled alone and that is in itself a great challenge.
‘The idea occurred to me in Tokyo. Despite all the people and the sensory overload that is synonymous with the metropolis, the city itself can be quite lonely and isolated’, says the artist regarding one of the songs on the album. ‘I feel the same way about the ocean … It is a very inspiring force for me. And this track is about taking the first step towards something new’, he adds.
