Sydney’s Lance Gurisik has just shared the release of his latest single, ‘Quanta’. The new drop is already available to stream across major digital outlets via 33 Sides / PIAS, while the ‘Cull Portal’ LP is scheduled for a complete release on August 18th, 2023.
“‘Quanta’ is a track that came about very very quickly, well the foundation of it at least. I had this 2-step drum loop recorded from my modular and I just started messing around on my Juno 106 with this two-chord modal vamp. I just recorded the audio, no midi in one take and it was done. It was literally the first improvised take! I then grabbed some outtakes of Jeremy Rose’s incredible sax takes from another project we were working on remotely during Covid and it really started to feel like a considered idea.” explains Lance about the process for ‘Quanta’.
