Lane 8 and Kasbo have joined forces for their new single ‘World Is Mine,’ out now via This Never Happened. The track brings together two artists known for their melodic approach and emotional focus.
‘World Is Mine’ blends Lane 8’s club-oriented direction with Kasbo’s detailed sound design, unfolding through layered textures, subtle rhythms, and melodic progressions. The result moves between introspective moments and dancefloor-driven passages.
The track had been circulating within the This Never Happened community ahead of its release, gaining traction across live sets and online discussions.
Kasbo shares, “When I first started the idea with BJOERN, we both felt we had something special. I sent the idea over to Lane 8, who just made sense of the track. When I heard his version, I felt like I finally understood the song and what it was. In the end, it became something really special and an interesting blend between our two worlds. Seeing the reactions live and online has been such a treat and something I’ve never seen before on a track I’ve been a part of. So excited to finally have it out in the world.”
Lane 8 adds, “I feel really grateful to be a part of this record. Kasbo and Bjoern both brought so much magic to the song, and all I tried to do was put an exclamation point on that magic. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a humming hotline hit? I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it and playing it out over the last year.”
For Kasbo, the release follows a period spent reconnecting with music and daily life in Stockholm, as well as his earlier 2026 single ‘All This Time’ on This Never Happened. For Lane 8, the collaboration continues to expand the label’s focus on immersive listening and community-driven experiences.
