Lazarusman makes his debut on the EG Podcast series with a special mix celebrating the release of his first studio album, ‘Skin’, now available via Moodfamily.
Born in Johannesburg, Lazarusman has carved out a distinctive place within electronic music through his fusion of spoken word, dancefloor energy, and personal storytelling. Over the years, he has collaborated with artists including Stimming, Hyenah, Booka Shade, AMEME, Xinobi, Bontan, Mele, Huxley, and Dwson, becoming one of the scene’s most recognizable vocalists and narrators.
Built around selections from ‘Skin’ and a collection of his current favorites, the mix offers a personal introduction to the album’s themes while celebrating poetry, vocals, groove, and positive energy. Across the session, listeners will hear music from Lazarusman alongside Boogie Vice, Sunaura The Artist, Moon’s Voytager, Igor Dohorove, Alvaro Hylander, Graham Deep, Dwson, Nandu, FKA Mash, Frank Valet, 40D, and Axone.
Released via Moodfamily, ‘Skin’ spans 13 tracks and explores identity, faith, colorism, masculinity, and life in post-apartheid South Africa through a blend of deep house, Afro house, breakbeats, jazz, and club-focused rhythms.
