Oliver Dela Cruz has unveiled ‘Sweet Day,’  the debut single from his new solo project, Le Cruize. Best known as one half of Australian disco-house outfit Midnight Pool Party, the Sydney-based songwriter and producer is using the project to explore a broader range of musical ideas outside the duo’s established framework.

According to Dela Cruz, Le Cruize was created as a home for tracks and concepts that developed alongside his work with Midnight Pool Party but followed a different creative direction. ‘Sweet Day’ is the first release to emerge from that archive, introducing a more personal side of his songwriting.

“This project has been a long time coming. As one half of Midnight Pool Party, I’m constantly writing, experimenting, and building ideas—some find their way into MPP records, while others get left behind. Over time, I built up an archive of unfinished tracks, and ‘Sweet Day’ came from the decision to finally revisit that space and create something that’s entirely my own,” explains Dela Cruz.
