The Cure just shared ‘Mixes of a Lost World’, a 24-track remix compilation reimagining their 2024 album ‘Songs of a Lost World’. Out now via Fiction Records.
Curated by Robert Smith, ‘Mixes of a Lost World’ was born out of several unsolicited remixes he received following the release of ‘Songs of a Lost World’. Inspired by the creative interpretations, Smith expanded the project into a full-length remix album, inviting some of the most inventive names across the electronic spectrum to reinterpret the material.
The compilation features three remixes for each of the eight tracks from the original album. Contributors include Paul Oakenfold, Chino Moreno of Deftones, Anja Schneider, Âme, Mogwai, Orbital, Four Tet, Trentemøller, Daniel Avery, Omid, 16B, Mura Masa, among others.
Proceeds from the release will go to War Child UK, supporting children affected by conflict. The album will be available across digital platforms as well as limited-edition 2LP, 3LP, 2CD, and 3CD formats.
