Faithless have unveiled their eighth studio album, ‘Champion Sound’, out now on double vinyl and all digital platforms via ADA. The record features the last recorded vocal from late frontman Maxi Jazz and contributions from Antony Szmierek, Bebe Rexha, Emmanuel Jal, L.S.K., and Suli Breaks.
Presented in four parts, ‘Champion Sound’ expands the group’s collaborative spirit and sonic scope. From Maxi Jazz’s moving appearance on opener ‘Forever Free’ to Suli Breaks’ striking spoken word on ‘Peace And Noise’, the album interweaves themes of freedom, connection, and resilience across its 11 tracks. Other highlights include ‘Dollars And Dimes’ with Bebe Rexha, ‘Yes I Want It Too’ featuring Antony Szmierek, and ‘La Vertu’ with L.S.K.
“After the experiences of the first three sides of the album, this fourth and final side builds its foundations on the simple pleasure of funkiness, and stands as a tribute to the mash-up UK sound system culture that brought bass-shaking music to life on our streets,” Faithless shared.
In their first album in five years, ‘Champion Sound’ honors Faithless’s heritage while exploring new territory. The album fuses house, trance, dub, and orchestral elements, creating a versatile sound that works equally well in clubs, festivals, and personal listening.
