Listen to Tristan Case’s ‘Bubble Modulators’

Including remixes by Tripswitch and Q.A.T & Maximo Gambini.

Australian DJ and producer Tristan Case is making a much-anticipated return to progressive imprint onedotsixtwo with the release of ‘Bubble Modulators’. The new single is already available to stream and purchase across all major digital platforms.

‘Bubble Modulators’ finds the Return To Rio resident with a truly kaleidoscopic slice of wondrous progressive house that stimulates all the right pressure points with sultry atmospherics and a sublime groove. The package is complete with remixes by downtempo/breaks icon Tripswitch and the argentine production duo Q.A.T & Maximo Gambini.

‘When I wrote ‘Bubble Modulators’, I wanted to translate into music where my mind was at the time. As you can hear in the track, the individual parts of the melody and hooks have a slightly sporadic energy to them. From a sound design perspective, I worked heavily on matrix modulation, using LFOs as sources to multiple destinations on the synth to create an almost brooding, pulsating sound that hints at something nefarious’ explains Tristan himself.

‘At the same time, I wanted to present a feeling of breaking through that element of darkness into a positive forward-moving energy which I tried to depict in the rolling bass, driving drums, and percussion. Ultimately, it’s designed to lift people up on the dance floor and I love seeing that happen’, he concludes.

Tristan Case’s ‘Bubble Modulators’ EP is out now via onedotsixtwo. Listen to it below, and pick up your copy here.
