In honor of Women’s History Month, LP Giobbi, along with her non-profit initiative, Femme House, the artist has released a new compilation titled ‘Femme House Vol. 2.’ This 14-track collection is a collaboration with Insomniac Records.
LP Giobbi emphasizes the stark statistic that only 2% of music producers are women. The goal of this compilation is to showcase a selected group of female and gender-diverse artists/producers who are making waves in the music industry.
‘Femme House Vol. 2’ showcases a variety of female and self-identifying female artists, including LP Giobbi. Other featured artists include Femme House’s Education Head and synth-pop artist mini bear, along with Mary Droppinz, Baby Weight, and the emerging house duo, the Lisbona Sisters.
Femme House aims to uplift underrepresented voices in 2024 through workshops, panel discussions, and pop-up events. A notable event, in partnership with Insomniac Records, is scheduled at Homage Brewing in LA on March 7, featuring a set by Mary Droppinz, a meet and greet, DJ Robyn Balliet, and a special Jasmine Rice brew. They will also return to Miami Music Week at W South Beach on March 22.
