Mad Radio has officially opened its doors in Williamsburg, marking the arrival of its first New York space and fourth global outpost. Located at 395 Wythe Ave, the 85-person venue builds on the Medellin-born platform’s mission to unite music, art, and community through a localized, cultural frequency.
Rooted in the ethos “One City. A Million Frequencies.”, Mad Radio NYC is more than a club. The intimate venue combines a bar, club room, gallery, record store, transmission booth, and creative studio under one roof. Programming will center on electronic subgenres including house, electro, indie dance, and dark disco, with a curated mix of local and international talent. Weekly nights, artist residencies, and live radio transmissions will form the core of its evolving calendar.
Founded in 2017, Mad Radio operates locations in Medellin, Bogota, and Miami — all connected through a 24/7 streaming network. Each site maintains a distinct identity while broadcasting curated music, DJ sessions, and live content via madradio.co and YouTube.
“New York has always set the pace for the world,” says founder Leo Herrera. “It has an intensity — a mix of cultures, styles, and sounds that you feel in your skin. Mad Radio is exactly that: a frequency where everything can coexist without labels. Coming here felt organic.”
The venue’s design reflects this ethos with raw materials, custom-built features, and a focus on sound. A Danley Soundlabs system anchors the space, ensuring high-quality audio fidelity. Beyond music, the season’s plans include vinyl listening sessions, art shows, workshops, digital content, and NYC-based collaborations. A focused cocktail program, late-night small plates, and exclusive merchandise are also available on-site.
