Mark Barrott returns with a new four-track EP titled ‘I Am The Sun, You Are The Moon’, set for release on November 17th, 2025, via Anjunachill. A limited edition 7″ vinyl of ‘I Am The Stars’ / ‘My Blue Heart’ will follow in December 2025.
The project features vocals from jazz singer Norma Winstone and drums by Leo Taylor (Floating Points, Hot Chip, Joy Crookes), merging Barrott’s signature sunset music with themes of seasonal change and emotional transition.
Following his 2024 album ‘Everything Changes, Nothing Ends,’ the new EP reflects on the shift from autumn equinox to winter solstice. It explores the duality of melancholy and serenity, capturing the quiet tension between endings and renewal.
‘I Am The Stars’ opens the release with a moment of calm. ‘My Blue Heart’ blends melancholic jazz horns with Winstone’s voice, while the title track brings together Barrott’s layered production, Taylor’s organic percussion, and Winstone’s ethereal delivery. ‘I Am The Air’ closes the EP with subdued introspection.
