Mia Mendi reunite with TH;EN for their third collaboration, ‘Run Free’, out now via Massano’s Simulate Recordings. The single forms part of TH;EN’s ‘Ice Veins’ EP, expanding a creative partnership that began with ‘Collapsing Sky’ and ‘Escape Plan’.
With ‘Run Free’, the trio move further into peak-time territory while preserving the emotional undercurrent that shaped their previous work. A distinctive vocal anchors the track, giving it a defined presence on the dancefloor. The production balances experimental detail with direct rhythmic drive, built around instinctive groove work and focused arrangement.
Reflecting on the release, Mia Mendi share: “Working with TH;EN has become second nature for us over the last couple of years. After releases like ‘Collapsing Sky’ and ‘Escape Plan’, ‘Run Free’ felt like a chance to push things into a more peak-time space while still keeping the emotion and groove intact. The track came together very instinctively, and Simulate felt like the perfect home for that energy.”
The release arrives as Mia Mendi continue to consolidate their position across international circuits. Recent performances at Soho Garden Dubai, ZERO-SITE Tokyo, NSCI Dome Mumbai, and ADE Amsterdam highlight their touring reach, alongside appearances across Europe, Asia, and India. Beyond the studio, the duo helm the labels Hydera and Species, extending their curatorial scope within melodic house and techno.
