After years of putting his love, sweat, and tears in selecting and curating the content that comes to light in Kompakt, the head of the brand, Michel Mayer, had postponed the release of his own material on the label. Now the German producer returns after 8 years with ‘Higher’.
For this release, Mayer draws on the sounds of the early 1990s Italo disco and deep house that inspired him to be a DJ and adds some acid, vibrant synths, bass, and melodic vocals.
