Monolink announces sophomore album, ‘Under Darkening Skies’

Three years after the release of ‘Amniotic’.

German singer-songwriter and producer Monolink has announced his second studio album by the name of ‘Under Darkening Skies’. The LP is expected on June 11th, via Embassy One, Ultra Records (North & South America), and Sweat It Out (Australia & NZ).  The new material comes 3 years after the release of the highly acclaimed ‘Amniotic’, and is comprised of twelve new original productions, which include the recently released ‘Otherside’ and ‘The Prey’.

Classically trained and boasting an instrument-focused music education, Monolink has built a reputation on the melodic techno circuit from his headquarters in Berlin. With this new work he ‘seeks to transport listeners into their own reflective realm of sonic exploration with his most thoughtful and complex work to date.’

‘Under Darkening Skies’ is an album that is connecting different points in my life, depicting phases or moments that I went through. I wanted to go back to writing real songs again instead of adding vocals to a beat, which gave me the freedom to express more musical facets of myself. Over time, it became the most diverse record I’ve made yet, influenced by an age of global social and economic uncertainty at an ever-increasing rate of change, like a dark cloud rising about’, says Monolink himself about the upcoming release.

Monolink’s ‘Under Darkening Skies’ will be out on June 11th. Check out the artwork and tracklist below, and pre-order your copy here.
