Morocco festival to take place on Game of Thrones film set (Video)

From October 12th-15th, 2017.

MOGA Festival has announced its 2017 edition across various venues in stunning Essaouira in Morocco —  the filming location of Astapor/The Red City in the Game of Thrones TV series.

MOGA is a music and digital arts festival which focuses on Moroccan, Maghrebian and African scenes and artists, alongside a host of renowned international names.

As part of the event, headliners work with Gnawa musicians to create music for a special concert. There will also be a free “Off Festival” that will offer talks, workshops, fusion events, masterclasses, exhibitions and movies in the Medina; so that locals, tourists and festival-goers can all get involved.

The festival takes place right by the sea, within grand old architecture, hot sun and local cuisines, making it an ecstatic setting.

A detailed program for the MOGA Festival will be released in the coming weeks. For early bird tickets click here.
