Move the Record returns to support independent record stores

The four-week streaming initiative starts this July.

Originally launched in 2020, Move The Record was created in response to the uncertain future and economic strain that independent record stores worldwide have faced due to the pandemic. Now, the initiative returns for the summer with 4 consecutive Livestreams on Thursdays starting July 1st.

Each session will be 6-hours long and will be broadcasted from stores around the world featuring residents and special guests, with a view to driving online sales and footfall to shops that can open, and encourage customers to invest in their local spot. Stores to be featured include Kristina Records (London), Café Artum (Birmingham), Mad Piano (Bucharest), Seawolf Records (Amsterdam), NUT Records (Barcelona), La Rama (Montreal), and more.

Selected performers include Prosumer, Ingi Visions, Adam Shelton, Carista, San Proper, Willow, Hon, Anna Wall, Kerrie, Glowzi, Jus-Ed, Nick Anthony Simoncino, Molly, and more.

Supporters can also contribute and buy merch via their Crowdfunder. 100% of proceeds to be split evenly across the stores.
