Los Angeles-based composer and sound artist Nick Norton is preparing to release his first solo album entitled ‘Music for Sunsets’, on September 15th, 2023.
The LP, mixed by Lewis Pesacov, blends vintage synth grooves, field recordings, acoustic instruments, and studio production to create an immersive sonic experience. It showcases Norton’s musical prowess, taking listeners on an ambient electronic journey that chronicles his gradual recovery from a severe mental health diagnosis in 2020.
The newest track from ‘Music for Sunsets’ is titled ‘Soviets Make Good Games’ and was released today on Tome To The Weather Machine. This comes after the pre-release single, ‘Slow Night At The Arcade’, which came out last month.
Norton has announced a free release and listening party on September 15th at The Semi Tropic in Los Angeles to celebrate the album’s launch in their hometown.
