The LP, which is the sixth of his career, consists of four parts.
After having released his latest album ‘Cenizas’ and participating in the soundtrack of the movie ‘Ema’, by Pablo Larraín, Nicolas Jaar showed his fans the first part of his album ‘Telas’. The piece, titled ‘Telahora’, could be heard through Radio Alhara.
The fresh material will be divided into ‘Telahora’, ‘Telencima’, ‘Telahumo’, and ‘Telallás’, and the length of each part is approximately 20 minutes. To make this album, the artist had contributions from Milena Punzi (cello), Susanna Gonzo (vocals), Anna Ippolito, and Marzio Zorio (instrument makers) and Heba Kadry (mastering).
For the Chilean-American DJ and producer, ‘Telas’ is not just an album: it is a creative digital space created together with digital artist Abeera Kamra and also artist and designer Somnath Bhatt. Between the three of them, they have created audiovisual supports and a website in which they describe the project as ‘a panspermic terrain where particles travel through space, intertwining life forms, where it doesn’t matter, whether it exists in thought, physical form or another one has a solid or immovable origin’.
The premiere of ‘Telas’ will take place this Friday, May 29th and you can listen to the first preview below.
