Nicole Moudaber and Chris Liebing have teamed up for their latest EP titled ‘I Will Be A Devil Until I Am An Angel,’ released under Liebing’s imprint CLR.
The EP starts with ‘Watch Me Choose You,’ an energetic track with a groove filled with claps, accompanied by bleeps and squelches. A subtle serpentine acid line weaves through the solid drums, creating an engaging sound experience. Following this, ‘When You Are Near’ takes the dancefloor by storm with explosive bursts of acid layered over deep kick drums. The track builds up to an intense climax.
Reflecting on their collaboration, Chris Liebing shares, “Ever since I met Nicole many years ago, we’ve had an incredible connection. We’ve played back-to-back sets and remixed each other, always thrilled with the results. It was only a matter of time before we created a joint original release, and here it is! We are truly pleased with the EP as it represents our individual styles and what we believe has the greatest impact on the dancefloor.”
Nicole Moudaber expresses her excitement, stating, “I’ve been listening to Chris since the mid-2000s. I vividly remember being on the dancefloor at Space Ibiza, completely immersed in his music, dancing until the lights came on. Fast forward to 2016, and I find myself regularly playing back-to-back with him all around the world. His sound resonates with me on such a profound level because it can transport you into a trance. And now, we’ve also collaborated in the studio. This new EP reflects our collective creative and musical taste, and it has already been successfully tested in clubs and festivals.
