The Pole Position duo, formed by Loïc Le Joliff & Jaime Alguersuari (also known as Squire), recently released ‘Hooked On My Motion’ on the Barcelona-based label ÀNIMS. This 4-track EP showcases a mix of rhythmic beats and musical skill, enriched with remixes from Ede and Mila Journée.
The package begins with ‘Dig My Moves’, a song that revitalizes the house genre with its lively vocal chops and suspenseful synth loops. This is followed by ‘Dynamite’, a complex composition featuring broken beats, metallic nuances, and smooth shakers. The electrifying lead, emphasized by striking chords and soulful vocals, is the track’s highlight.
The EP also includes two remixes. Ede’s version of ‘Dig My Moves’ reduces the original to its essence, creating a tense atmosphere boosted by raw percussion. Mila Journée’s remix of the same song ends the release on a high note with its potent acid lines and strong drum beats.
