Rafiki recently announced the release of his latest album entitled ‘Anand Mahal’, which is set to hit the music scene on May 31st, 2024. Drawing inspiration from the dynamic art culture of Bandra, the artist offers a sneak preview of the upcoming album through his latest single, ‘Black Smoke’, launched via Permanent Vacation.

The album opens with ’17B’, a track reflecting Rafiki’s creative haven. Here, visitors find an atmosphere conducive to music-making and self-reflection, with its serene vibe offering a timeless journey for listeners.

Also included in the LP is the newly released ‘Black Smoke’. This track fuses elements from the past and future, bound together by the dream pop genre and enriched by Tara Lily’s expressive vocals. It explores the complexities of addiction, love, and resilience, embodying the essence of life in Mumbai.

Another standout track is ‘Khulle Darwaze’ (Open Doors), which captivates listeners with its beats and compelling rhythm. It symbolizes the friendships and opportunities Rafiki has embraced in his life. In contrast, ‘Smoke & Mirrors’ plunges listeners into Rafiki’s auditory universe, a setting that encourages artistic expression and collaboration.

The album concludes with ‘Lo-Fi Dreams’, a track that combines deep house basslines with rhythmic beats, evoking feelings of nostalgia, hope, and positivity.
