Richie Hawtin’s groundbreaking album ‘Musik’, released under his Plastikman alias, is set for a special 30th-anniversary reissue. This landmark release will be available on December 6th, 2024, through NovaMute.

Originally launched in November 1994, ‘Musik’ was Plastikman’s sophomore effort, following the critically acclaimed ‘Sheet One’. The 30th-anniversary edition, remastered from the original tapes, promises to introduce the album’s raw intensity to a new generation of listeners. This reissue stands as a testament to Plastikman’s enduring impact and Hawtin’s innovative production techniques.

‘Musik’ features standout tracks like ‘Freek’, ‘Kriket’, ‘Fuk’, and ‘Marbles’. These compositions showcase Hawtin’s mastery in crafting hypnotic, minimalist soundscapes that continue to captivate listeners three decades later.

The album’s impact was immediate and far-reaching. Plastikman’s subsequent live appearances at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Tribal Gathering further cemented the project’s reputation.

In line with contemporary environmental concerns, the anniversary edition will be pressed on bio-vinyl and packaged using eco-friendly materials.
