GRAMMY-nominated artist Romy, also known for her work with The xx, has partnered with White Claw for a new music series titled ‘Refreshing Sounds.’ The series transcends music, featuring two exclusive parties hosted by Romy in London and Ibiza.
As part of the collaboration, the British DJ and producer has unveiled an exclusive remix of ‘Twice,’ a track from her 2023 debut album ‘Mid Air.’ Underground club favorite Julie Desire crafted this fresh interpretation of Romy’s work.
Inspired by ‘Twice,’ which celebrates the freedom and community of underground club culture, she is also creating a three-part film series. This visual journey, developed in collaboration with White Claw, will explore Romy’s deep connection to queer nightlife and dance music culture.
Reflecting on the project, Romy shared, “Music was my teenage obsession and it has helped me so much with expressing myself in new ways. It has given me so much more confidence to discover this unexpected other side of myself and makes me feel connected to a room full of people in a way I couldn’t feel when I felt too shy to dance.” She added, “I’m excited to be working with White Claw and reimagine my song ‘Twice’ with a remix by Desire, a producer and DJ I really admire.”
