Brighton’s production duo, Russell Small & DNO P, have joined forces with Lulu to release ‘Shine Forever’. This track is a precursor to their forthcoming ‘Earworm’ LP, set to drop on September 27th, 2024.
The song is an energetic blend of warm, funky guitar riffs, uplifting beats, ethereal keyboards, and deep bass lines, all complemented by Lulu’s distinctive vocals. It’s a testament to Russell Small’s enduring talent for crafting feel-good summer anthems, carrying on the legacy of Phats and Small’s iconic hit ‘Turn Around,’ in collaboration with Brighton’s original electronic innovator, DNO P.
Lulu expresses her excitement, saying, “I’m thrilled to be part of this fun summer record. My brother Billy and I had a blast writing the lyrics, and it was fantastic to work with Russell and Dino in Brighton.”
The ‘Earworm’ album by Russell Small & DNO P boasts collaborations with artists like Ultra Naté, Katherine Ellis, and The Illustrious Blacks. It also reunites with Phats & Small vocalist Ben Ofoedu.
Adding to the excitement, Russell is organizing a grand launch event at the Brighton i360 on September 29th, promising a lineup of special guest DJs and live performances, headlined by Carl Cox.
