Dutch producer and live performer Satori has unveiled his remix of Leonard Cohen’s timeless track, ‘You Want It Darker.’ Respecting the original piece’s essence, the Dutch artist infuses his distinctive deep electronic melodies, harmonizing with Cohen’s introspective storytelling. The remix is now available via Maktub Records.
‘You Want It Darker (Satori Remix)’ is a fusion of trance rhythms and earthy tones. This remix weaves Satori’s organic house style with Cohen’s enigmatic songwriting.
The intention behind this official remix stems from Satori’s deep respect and admiration for Cohen’s mystical and captivating musical style. Following Cohen’s passing in 2016, Satori reached out to Cohen’s family to express his desire to honor the late artist’s legacy through his music.
