Celebrating years of preparation, finely curating a meaningful project intent on making an impact on music, Sean Thomas as &friends releases the inaugural single of the passion project he is bringing to life. Out this July 15th, 2022, ‘Gbagbe e feat. Oluwadamvic’ will be released via Sean Thomas’ newly minted Hidden Hands imprint. Featuring vocal contributions from West African native collaborator Oluwadamvic, ‘Gbagbe e’ is a flourishing composure of globally inspired house music. With the title’s meaning stemming from the tribal language of the Yoruba People, the ethos of the track embodies the sentiment of “Letting Go” through its expertly crafted, dynamic and driving production.

To celebrate the drop of &friends’ ‘Gbagbe e’ via Hidden Hands, Sean Thomas selects his 10 current favorite tracks:

1. Daniel Rateuke & Awen – Gold (Manoo Remix)

‘Gorgeous vocals from the queen, Awen, combined with Manoo’s impeccable ability to create such a hypnotic dance floor groove; 3 AM wrist and soul shaker.’

2. Pablo Fierro – Nomada

Pablo Fierro is one of our biggest influences and favorite producers; from his tight, crisp, tribal percussion, to the incredible cultural collaborations; he’s in a league of his own. ‘

3. Monkey Safari – Safe (Joris Voorn Remix)

Joris Voorn is one of my all-time favorite producers, and this remix will show you why. Spirits speak to you when playing this in the club at 4 AM; pure goosebumps and ecstasy as it transports you to another dimension. ‘

4. BØRÅ – SAMMAYE

‘High-energy, electrifying. Every time I drop this one in the club the hands and feet go to the walls. The animal comes out in everyone.’

5. Francis Mercier – Premier Gaou (Nitefreak Remix)

‘Probably the biggest afro house tune of the year; Nitefreak brings it home with this high-energy, euphoric remix. Top-notch production from an even better human.’

6. Mark Knight & Joey Musaphia feat. Juliet Roberts – Miss You

‘Feel good, sexy, classic house groove. This record just brings all the vibes and smiles. Mark Knight is a legend and a Godfather of House.’

7. Adam Port & Alan Dixon – Forms of Love

‘Not too often can you find a fairly simple record that has incredible depth and emotion. Those beautiful melodic keys, chords, and pads…ooofff, makes the heart blush.’

8. DJ Qness & Dele Sosimi – L’owè L’owè (Monkey Safari’s Groove Mix)

‘The duo, Monkey Safari, is also a big inspiration, nothing but shoulder shaking, hip swaying grooves. They know how to make crowds shake off life’s struggles.’

9. Walterino & Plastik Guys – Aje Ajo (Narf Zayd & Buba DJ Remix)

‘Smooooooove is an understatement; I adore this record. Sand between the toes, big smiles and sexy soul with those vocals and lovely sax.’

10. Safar (FR) – Sweet Disposition

‘What an incredible 2022 Afro-house remake to the classic. Best remake I’ve ever heard, and always gets the crowd singing at the top of their lungs and from the bottom of their hearts; a nostalgic beauty.’
